Apple Developer Society

As the Founding President, I established the Apple Developer Society (ADS) at Singapore Polytechnic in March 2024, driven by a profound passion for innovation and the ambition to create a community for individuals eager to explore the expansive capabilities of Apple’s development tools. ADS stands as a distinguished and unique club within the institution.

Our Mission
The Apple Developer Society is committed to cultivating the next generation of Apple developers. Our mission is to equip members with the technical expertise, knowledge, and creative mindset necessary to excel in the technology industry. Through hands-on workshops, collaborative projects, and exclusive events, we aim to seamlessly connect academic learning with real-world applications.

What We Offer

  • Exclusive Workshops: Members gain practical experience using Apple's development tools, such as Xcode and Swift, with sessions tailored to accommodate all levels, from beginners to advanced developers.

  • Hackathons & Competitions: We provide platforms to challenge and enhance members' skills through regular participation in and hosting of hackathons, where innovation is tested under tight deadlines.

  • Collaborative Projects: ADS promotes a collaborative environment where members work on real-world projects, integrating both software and hardware. These projects range from app development to robotics, allowing members to turn their ideas into reality.

  • Guest Speakers & Networking: We organize events featuring industry experts, including Apple engineers and successful developers, offering valuable networking opportunities that can lead to internships and career advancements.

Our Community
The Apple Developer Society is more than just a club; it is a vibrant community of over 200 active members from various schools within Singapore Polytechnic. We are a diverse group, unified by a shared passion for technology and innovation. Our community is supportive, inclusive, and always open to exploring new ideas, making it the ideal environment for anyone interested in coding, design, or the Apple ecosystem.

Apple Swift Nano Academy 2024

After establishing ADS, This was the first event that we opened up ourselves to, where we gathered members and taught them the basics of Xcode, how to code in Swift, design, pitch and present like Apple. All under 5 days, this had been a great success overall as all the registration was overwhelming and at the end of the academy, everyone had a great grasp of what we wanted to teach and had brought them to Apple Headquarters in One North and asked them to pitch to Apple Representatives and ask for gradual feedback.
