As the Founding President, I established the Apple Developer Society (ADS) at Singapore Polytechnic in March 2024, driven by a profound passion for innovation and the ambition to create a community for individuals eager to explore the expansive capabilities of Apple’s development tools. ADS stands as a distinguished and unique club within the institution.

Our mission is to equip members with the technical expertise, knowledge, and creative mindset necessary to excel in the technology industry. Through hands-on workshops, collaborative projects, and exclusive events, we aim to seamlessly connect academic learning with real-world applications.

Apple Swift Nano Academy 2024
After establishing ADS, This was the first event that we opened up ourselves to, where we gathered members and taught them the basics of Xcode, how to code in Swift, design, pitch and present like Apple. All under 5 days, this had been a great success overall as all the registration was overwhelming and at the end of the academy, everyone had a great grasp of what we wanted to teach and had brought them to Apple Headquarters in One North and asked them to pitch to Apple Representatives and ask for gradual feedback.

National Software Competition 2025
The National Software Competition (NSC) 2025 was successfully hosted by the Apple Developer Society, where I served as President and oversaw the competition end-to-end. As the primary point of contact with Apple, I worked closely with their team to align the competition’s structure, learning outcomes, and judging criteria, ensuring the event met both educational and industry standards. NSC is one of Singapore’s largest student software competitions, and being entrusted as the main organising body was a significant responsibility and honour for our society.
The competition brought together secondary school students from across Singapore, many of whom were new to Swift and iOS development. Over the course of the programme, we guided participants through Swift fundamentals, Apple’s design principles, and hands-on application development, equipping them with the skills needed to build functional and creative apps in a short timeframe. The experience culminated at the Apple Developer Center, where teams delivered their final pitches, showcased their applications, and received their awards. Seeing students go from first exposure to Swift to confidently pitching their ideas within a few days was deeply rewarding, and the success of NSC 2025 reinforced the impact of community-led, Apple-backed developer education at a national scale.
