Apple Contributions

My contributions at the Apple Developer Center have been a meaningful part of my journey, where I regularly support and co-host events while serving as a technical mentor during workshops and programmes. Through these experiences, I have been exposed to diverse working environments and a wide range of people, from students and developers to industry partners. Being involved in the planning, execution, and mentoring aspects of these events has strengthened my adaptability, communication, and ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and settings.

Swift Student Challenge showcase 2025

I served as a mentor for the Swift Student Challenge Showcase 2025, supporting both students and visitors throughout the showcase at the Apple Developer Center. My role involved guiding attendees through the exhibition, explaining how the Swift Student Challenge works, and breaking down the technical and design decisions behind the showcased projects in a clear and approachable way. I worked closely with participants to help them articulate their ideas, understand Apple’s expectations around creativity and execution, and gain confidence in presenting their work. Being on the ground during the showcase allowed me to bridge the gap between Apple’s developer ecosystem and first-time participants, ensuring the experience was both educational and welcoming for everyone involved.

Hacking Spatial Computing

Apple Vision Pro hackathon at NUS

I attended the Apple Vision Pro hackathon at NUS primarily as a visitor, with the intention of learning from the teams and understanding how different groups were approaching spatial computing and visionOS development. During the event, I also took the opportunity to offer informal support to several teams within the NUS community, helping them refine their presentations, clarify their ideas, and review parts of their code when asked.

While I was not an official mentor for the hackathon, being able to contribute in a small but meaningful way was a rewarding experience. It reinforced the value of peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and highlighted how collaborative the developer community can be, even across institutions.

Developing with Swift: Explore Machine Learning with Swift

I served as a mentor for the Developing with Swift: Explore Machine Learning with Swift session, where I supported the event end-to-end, from setup to execution. This included coordinating logistics, ensuring administrative matters were in place, and helping the session run smoothly for both participants and organisers. I worked closely with attendees throughout the programme, providing technical guidance and keeping the workshop aligned with its learning objectives.

During the session, I guided participants through effective pre-prompting techniques, helped them understand how to approach machine learning workflows in Swift, and provided hands-on support with debugging and refining their code. I also assisted teams in structuring their ideas, clarifying implementation decisions, and applying Apple-recommended development and design practices. Acting as a full mentor throughout the event allowed me to support both the technical and organisational aspects of the workshop, ensuring a focused, productive, and engaging learning experience for all participants.
