This was the first year after I had been enrolled, I had to replan all of my competition motives and strategies as now I was competing with people not only from tertiary institutions but also from the working class and the stakes were high.

SUTD What The Hack 2023
Top 5 Among 50 teams







This had been the first large-scale hackathon I had ever attended, this was a unique experience for me my team and I had created a watch for the partially blind, where there is a distance sensor that would vibrate and beep if the user to too close to a moving object and the screen can change hue and saturation to be visible for the partially blind.
Apple Nano Swift Academy
Presented by iOS based Application at Apple HQ







I attended a 5-day intensive boot camp set up by Swift Nano Academy and SUTD, similar to Swift accelerator programme, where I learnt how to code in Swift, design my application, pitch and present like Apple.
​
I created Hidden Gems with my team, an app targeting tourists and new residents of Singapore to find gate-kept places by locals in Singapore, it has a tinder-like view where places can be swept life or right to save or discard the location.
​
This had been a huge stepping stone for me as I was once again in engagement with Apple and I had wanted to start an Apple oriented club in Singapore Polytechnic.
Astro Renaissance hackathon at Curtain University
Awarded the Best and Most Creative Award








I received the Best and Most Creative award for this hackathon for making a space rover that can shoot a small projectile from itself to launch a robot for soil testing for human livability in exoplanets.

This had been an intensive project to complete in under one night due to its sheer complexity and it had to perform 2D Image terrain mapping and foreign image detection.
​
In this hackathon, all the top 3 were from Singapore Polytechnic, my team and i had received 1st place.

I joined a day programme where I had to learn how to do proper terrain mapping with AI in drones and had to pass an practical to obtain the certificate.
Mindful Hacks 2023

My team and I received first place in Mindful Hacks 2023, we made a care bot for children where that can interact with them and listen to their pronunciation, where it then store in a database and notice if their pronunciation is incorrect, and teach them how to pronounce it properly in the next conversation they have, this robot can also be a active bot where it can run and move about to interact with the kid.

Top 10 among 35 teams








My team and I achieved an outstanding performance in Hacx 2023. We ranked in the top 10 out of 35 competing teams, coming from universities and polytechnics.
We made a smart bike lock that uses ultrawideband and mesh technology to make a group of locking systems, which will not require GPS and will alert the user of the lock with a message if the bike is tampered with, along with a retractable locking system which has a convenience factor.
In recognition of our hard work, we were granted a 2-year membership to Microsoft for Startups Founder Hub, valued at up to $150,000 and we were awarded a $500 cash prize.

We made a care bot for the elderly' which had facial recognition with recognition of strokes and also an interactive face that the elderly can communicate with when in times of unease, which can also be used as an emergency contact if needed.
